Well every single thing except finding a husband I have expereinced and more.

I don't always agree with some of the members' opinions and such, but I remind myself that the program of AA and the ideas of its members are two separate things.
I can sure relate to that!!! LOL One of the beauties of AA is the variety of people & opinions, I love the people and the opinions even though I may not find them all to my liking.

In AA I have found a Power greater then myself that has solved my drinking problem and has helped me in all aspects of my life.

In AA I have learned to love and respect the person I am today, I have also learned how to live life on lifes terms sober and happy, bad things still happen on occasion, but I have a solution to those problems and I am able today to work through those problems with the help of the fellowship and my HP.

Thanks to AA I am now a part of the world, not a drunk on the outside of the world looking in.

What I love the most about AA is seeing people recover from a hopeless state of body and mind and become happy sober members of society!

9 Months Ago:
Hopeless, scared, didn't think I could quit drinking, hated myself, hurting those I love...on the verge of a mental breakdown

Today:
Sober, no obsession, confident, there for others...at peace, happy

Unbelievable!

i liked the simplicity of the program..the safeness of being in a group and noones gonna offer me alcohol...the support from people who understand where im at and willing to teach me how to get what they got..love hearing others stories ..the steps..the do overs that i actually got after a couple of runs..i guess i love everything about it. if it wont 4 the program i know 4 me id be either in jails, institutions or dead so i got a lot to be thankful for!!!

I like the way AA has made me more accepting of life on life's terms.

For instance - AA isn't perfect, and there is a lot in AA that pisses me off, just like in real life.

It teaches me to keep what I want and leave the rest (just like in real life).

While in the check out at the grocery
the woman in front of me was attractive and well dressed.
Her basket had 10 bottles of red wine. Nothing else.

Tho she was a stranger ..I knew the look
watery eyes..smelling of alcohol...slight tremors

Thanks to God and AA....
those days are my past...not my today.

I love AA because it showed me a way to connect with the HP of my own understanding.

There is so much to love about AA. I owe the life I live to the program. I love the program absolutely, the fellowship can be either great or not so great depending on where I am living at the time. But, as a military member, being able to move to a new area and make instant contacts is great. I always learn where the good places to eat are, who is a good mech to work on my car, and I get to hear various interpretations on how to apply the program to my life.

I enjoyed AA when I could go to it for the laughs. Funniest group of people! Funniest stories. No shame was ever put onto others....the worst stories you could come up with that you've done to yourself or to others, only nodding heads and smiles could be seen....it's all been done before. The understanding in that place....the lack of judgement....the comfort....

I love AA because it connects me to a network of friends that i can reach out to at anytime, even when I am far away from home.
