He left thismorning.

My man left me thismorning. I havnt had a drink in 2 days. I'm soooo upset. Trying not to cry at work is not an easy feat.

I hate alcohol.

I hate alcohol and crying at work too.

Cry and be strong. Remind yourself that now is especially a good time to hate alcohol. You'll want to be sober and in your emotions when the road ahead becomes clear.

That is really bad timing on his part.

I'm sorry to know he did leave

However...there is not ever a good
reason to start drinking again.
I'm glad you hate alcohol!

Me too - it will get better and you WILL find someone else and you WILL know great happiness - just stay sober, one day at a time - and use what is available - i.e. the fellowship and love of AA. it got me through so much and I honestly now know happiness I never did before. And I have no desire to drink. And I am (haltingly LOL! ) growing spiritually...what a deal hey!

So let him go!! and be strong. You don't need to drink! Use your saddness and anger to make you stronger and stronger. Look inside of you...you can do it!
Log on to SR 100 times a day if you need too. Someone is always here to keep you moving up and on!!
Hugs to you...Jen

2much sorry about him leaving, just keep in mind that in order to stay sober it is far easier to do if you are staying sober for your self and not someone else.

The time now is to stay sober and focus on your recovery.

Take it one day at a time reminding your self that a drink will never make things better in the long run.

I would also suggest checking out different recovery programs, sobriety is better maintained with support and a program of some sort for most folks. WHy do it alone when you don't have to?

Thanks all. Today has been better. I feel almost... happy. I feel much more like myself than I have in a long time.

He says hes coming back on Friday to talk. When he left he said he needed time to clear his head. I am preparing myself for the worst...but doing my best to turn it all into a positive.

I am not going to drink.

Good for you for not taking that drink!

For me the tears from me and my loved ones come from alcohol. I hope and pray it has sunk in enough in my head to stop me from that next drink and to use every tool at my disposal to help.

Take it one day at a time and you'll get there and if you haven't, consider taking action in some sort of program of recovery and a support group.

Thanks for posting.

:praying

Good job! The same thing happened to me, except when she left I started drinking, heavily. That was the dumbest thing I've ever done.
Keep it up and you'll feel even better
