Alcoholic College Football Fan Thread!
Don't follow the NFL nearly as much as I do CFB so I thought I would start a new thread, aside from the NFL thread.
I am fortunate enough to be an alumni of USC and we are on top of the world right now, actually, this century! Big game coming up this Saturday against Ohio State and would love to chat about it, or any other games.
I normally watch the games from home to avoid a DUI and god forbid the game is not going well. I rarely remember the game so Tivo is my best friend on Sundays. I watched my first game sober when we played Virgina a couple weeks ago and I must say, it was not quite the same without the booze, and the jury is still out on whether that is a good thing.
I look forward to sharing my passion with others on SR.
Still sober!

With the biggest game of the year playing out tomorrow between USC and Ohio State, and so many other great games during the day, there is nobody on this forum that wants to talk CFB? Or even better, how you watch the games now that you are sober? I know that this is a big trigger for me so I tend to isolate myself and watch the games alone. Not nearly as much fun but at least I stay sober.
I have been through a half dozen games now without a drink and I have to say that it feels as if something is missing. But, the price to pay is not worth it so I choose not to drink and enjoy the game for what it is.
Fight On Trojans!!!!!!! Beat the Bucknuts!
BYU crush the Bruins
Michigan destroy the Irish
Fresno State eek by Wisconson

w00t! College Football! I enjoy it SO MUCH MORE than NFL football!
Ok, first and foremost, I am a Mississippi State Bulldogs fan!! GO DAWGS! I will root for *almost* any other SEC team, just out of conference loyalty... but never ever ever Ole Miss or Alabama. My husband is currently a grad student at University of Florida, so I am obligated to throw in a Go Gators as well.
I have to give a shout out to my local Memphis Tigers, but bless their li'l hearts, this season is not off to a good start.

Well, a great Saturday showing for my mighty Trojans but the rest of the Pac 10 got embarrassed by the WAC! It was an amazing day. I have never watched football sober (and I have to say that the cravings were definitely there) but I watch 20 hrs of CFB over the weekend, all without a drink and by myself. Can't say that I enjoyed it as much cause usually I am with other drinkers doing the normal yelling, slapping, tickling, and drinking. Maybe I will find some sober Trojan fans soon :P
