Has Anyone Read Comedian Richard Lewis' Book, "The Other Great Depression"?
 

I've just started it, and am wondering if anyone else is reading or has read it.

Funny so far, yet barely-coherent. Which is actually perfect, considering that barely-coherent is my disease's first language.

However, due to the fact that I've just started it, I cannot yet check the box that says "Yes, I would recommend this book to a friend".

Is it about addiction or just depression? Just curious. I like him as a comedian. He's so over the top.

Well, to answer your question, the complete title is "The Other Great Depression: How I'm Overcoming, on a Daily Basis, at Least a Million Addictions and Dysfunctions and Finding a Spiritual (Sometimes) Life"

It's certainly not an all-shiny-happy book, but you'll definately see some of Mr. Lewis' humor in there.

That sounds good. Have you read Dry by Augusten Burroughs? It really had me in stiches most of the time. A really good read.

Dry was an excellent read.

I loved Dry-- I can't help thinking of Augusten Burroughs as a younger, alcoholic, light version of David Sedaris.

Another book by Augustine Burrows is "Running with Scissors" It goes into his childhood and some of his alcoholism. Good use of humor and definately he has an amazing story.
