Principals before Personalities and
Listen to the message not the messenger
There are several people at meetings I go to that I start to cringe when they begin to share but ya know what?
I take a moment and pray that I am able to hear what I need to hear from this share and believe it or not, I DO find something I need to hear most of the time. But seriously this one guy in particular, is loud and abrasive when he speaks (like yelling). It puts me on edge but I am not going to leave my meeting because of it. I takes all kinds and as my sponsor says...some of us are sicker than others. That is okay. He is right where he is supposed to be and so am I!
Happy to hear from you today nc :ghug2

People in meetings are very much like people in regular society, you're gonna see all kinds.
Remember the phrase, "Take what you want and leave the rest".
Everyone you see/hear speak is on their own journey toward recovery.
No one will be 'perfect', no one will have ever been 'cured'.
There will be people who 'test' your patience, pass the test.
Keep going back.
