Day 2 rising...

06:35am. Cravings? Some. Nameless fear & anxiety? You bet! Although I think the latter has more to do with the fact that I have requested a meeting with my boss in order to 'confess my sins'.

I know it is ridiculous to make comparisons here, but I'b be interested to know how 'your' bosses have been after hearing something like this?

My bosses and work in general have been some of my staunchest supporters.

I had performance problems due to missing work due to ilness due to alchoholism even though I was still rated excedes expectations on my annual reviews. My boss told me she had hope for the first time when I returned to work and told her I had been to treatment for alchoholism.

That was 10 months ago. She isn't my favorite boss, but she has been more than fair.

Nicole I really had no issues at work due to my drinking, but I am sure I would have if they had caught me drinking on the job! LOL

Once I got out of detox and started into AA I have made no effort to hide that I am an alcoholic, I do not advertise it, but I do not make it a secret either. For all of those I work with the fact I am a recovered alcoholic either does not matter or they have a degree of admiration of me due to me overcoming my alcoholism.
