I'll be damned, I'm happy!

It's been awhile since I've felt truly happy but today I feel pretty good. My search for a job finally paid off so I am back in the loop as far as personal income goes, switched my medication to Effexor and feel little to no anxiety during social events which was a big goal of mine. Each and every day I am feeling more physically active. I'm also learning how to relate more with "the normal people" . I have AA to thank for most of this. Nothing is more important than my sobriety and it paid off. Just had to share.

Hi Jordan,
I know exactly what you mean. I've had more good happen to me in these days of sobriety than all the drunk ones the last 20 years!

Keep it up!

Hey, Jordan, Me again...

It's amazing how sobriety works, huh? Yesterday, I found myself craving, and getting a little restless, irritable, and discontent, and I actually opened up my "toolbox," and instead of just gazing at the tools, I actually USED them, and went to sleep last night SOBER. And on my way to work this morning, I thought to myself, "Damn, I'm happy...."

Pretty amazing, huh? Thought happiness was pretty much impossible for me; I was merely shooting for a little bit of contentment...

Love to you, and hope you're doing well,

Kai

That's wonderful Kai! I'm really proud of you. Like they always say, as long as you are sober, things will get better. Sometimes doing simple things like you did with your toolbox can make things feel that much better. Getting out and doing things really help me out of a funk, it's getting the courage to do it but lately it has gotten easier. One day at a time..

Love to you from your fellow partner in sobriety
