I finally got help
I got arrested twice last week for illegal consumption. The court ordered that I undergo an alcohol evaluation and attend some sort of treatment program. I was diagnosed with alcohol dependance, and I will be attended group therapy sessions twice a week as well as regular one-on-one sessions. My mom knows everything now, and it feels good to be able to share all of this with her. Kelsey seems to be the only real friend I have left, turns out all of the others were just drinking buddies. I've been sober for a week which isn't much, but I feel like I'm off to a good start.

One week sure is a lot sweetie, it can be one of the toughest! I am so relieved to hear you are getting the help you so deserve. Please hang in there and keep us posted!! One step at a time girl,
and you will bring all your dreams to reality.
Many hugs and hope too,
Tammie

I'm actually quite a bit happier now. It's all out in the open and I don't have anything to hide anymore. I've actually been talking to my mom a lot lately about the different things I have been going through and the things that I am going through now. It's very helpful to talk to the people around me that care.

Hi Heatheraa, Sounds great. It is such a burden we carry when we try to carry it alone. A week is great and there is nothing " JUST " about it. Just hang in there and keep posting and sharing. Don

Congrats to you on reaching a point where you were willing to try to follow different actions. You are so very young and you never have to do all that drinking again, if you geet the real help and use everything that's available. One week with the hiding gone, you don't hae to hide anymore either. Aquaintances will come and go but you'll make friends by being a true friend. As it says in our Big Book -First things first. It was necessary for me to seek out and search out recovery before anything else. Drinking was a solution for me, and then it became a problem to me and I just wnated to die from drinking. I thought people would be bettr off without me. And God has used me in so many ways to help people -I am thankful. I just had my granddaughter for awhile and just tonite sent her to her great aunt's to visit. Then she'll go to her other grandmas and then back home in Ohio. Sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous and finding and experiencing God did that for me. I couldn't even show up at my daughter's wedding, I gott mad, angray, resentful and drunk and took off befoer the weddding. Imagine that. But we have a good relationship today, because of AA. You have a whole lot of life yet to live sober, so enjoy!! Love vicki
Congrats Heather!! 1 week! That's a tough one. Not only that, but you've come clean with ppl That's fabulous news! Huge ((((((((((( Hugs )))))))))))) to you!
