Whole month this Saturday...
Whole month this Saturday...
I am back. This Saturday I will have been sober for a whole month. What worries me is Easter Day (I am an Eastern Orthodox): can I or should I try a glass of red wine to go with the traditional lamb roast? Or is it just the demon who wants me back... I know I can stop at one glass (250mg) if I keep focusing on it. All this while I occasionally had several cans of non-alcoholic beer which didn't trigger the need for the real thing at all. Why can't they invent non-alcoholic wine? It's really disheartening to see a happy family ensemble and toast on still water and be regarded as the medical case of the same family. I want trust not compassion. Curious about your comments... and Happy Easter (a little belated for those who are not Orthodox)!

As I am now a non drinker....
I do not drink or eat alcohol.
For me...that includes N/A beer
as it has a trace.
My family is pleased that I do not drink.
We toast with Diet Coca Cola
and still celebrate special times.
Happy Easter to you and yours

There are wines that are non-alcoholic if you have a religous reason to drink wine, if I am not mistaken Jewish passover wine is non-alcoholic aka unfermented!
BTW congrats on almost a month.

Let us know what you decide. Congratulations on one month!
