Family History Question
Maternal Great-Great-Grandfather: an alcoholic, murdered his wife in a blackout - dead at 52 in prison
Maternal Great-Grandfather: not an alcoholic - dead at 73
Maternal Grandfather: alcoholic - dead at 60
Maternal Grandmother: loves to drink (when I visited her sober for the first time, she said, "I'm so proud of you, now would you fix me a Scotch?") - dead two weeks ago at 98
Mother: problem drinker, now dry and in Al-Anon - alive at 71
Father: alcoholic, untreated - dead at 50
Paternal Grandfather - loved to drink - dead at 80
Paternal Grandmother - would have a shot of Irish Whiskey at night before bed - dead at 95
So, a mixed bag. Does it matter much? Not really.
