Does anyone feel they ever got DUMBER with alcohol, as in drinking it/binging etc made you feel dumber more out of it in life?

Yeah, I definately feel dumber. Not only that but, for some reason I think everybody else is also dumb. I noticed this recently and I'm wondering if my perception has messed up.

I learned that there is no problem in life that alcohol can't make worse. This has been true for me for a while, but it hit home when someone said it to me after a particular binge.

I'm not a stupid person, but sure did stupid things while drinking. Heck, I let my entire life and responsibilities go down the tubes. Funny thing, since I quit drinking, my life is coming together and I haven't done anything stupid or anything I regret. Yep, I think it is pretty simple. Alcohol makes me act and think stupid.

However, for many years it was my 'medication' and I could not see that in reality it was 'making my life worse.'

I don't know about "dumber" but I certainly forgot a hell of a lot of years. People say "you remember that time...?" I have to answer "no." Still today, I couldn't tell you anything about 2004 - 2007 unless it has to do with whiskey.
