Update
I am 36 years old, had my first drink in 7th or 8th grade. I was babysitting my younger sister and decided to drink 3 or 4 wine glasses of Southern Comfort. Thats how I started and since then its never ended. I am not an every day drinker but when I do drink, it could be 8, 12, or 24 hours....who knows. I am fortunate, still have a family, my career. I am just coming down from a 14 hour bender and didn't make it to work today. I am home alone and feel like I have let my family and co-workers down. This is my first time reaching out, a very hard thing to do. When you live a pretty successful life and have the career that I have and alot of people rely on you, that's why I waited so long to reach out. I have accomplished many things in my life and when you can't beat the alcohol, it makes me feel empty inside. That is just a minute story of my life. Thank you for readin
Welcome! Glad you are here! I can relate to what you have shared...and yes, it is hard at first to reach out for help>but it does get easier after you take that initial first step. Hang around here awhile/keep posting. You will definitely find alot of support here. :ghug3
