A very good friend of mine recently went to prison for 5 years. He was drunk, and so was the driver of the other car. The teenage passenger in the other car was killed. The driver of that car did run a stop sign, but my friend is still doing the time because he was drunk.

It definitely isn't worth it.

He did get sober after the accident and is still sober today, but he has tremendous guilt over the boy he killed.

I have read many books about killing someone while drunk and I'm soooooooo glad I got caught before I did that.

I now have an interlock in my car until July and I plan to buy one after that because I do not trust myself.

Strange that I was sober for 22 years and have no faith in myself but I feel I'm being realist.:atv

I thank my HP all the time for not letting me kill or hurt someone because of my past driving while drunk.

Powerful message, got me looking at other You-tube clips on drinking and driving and i found one that was too disturbing to post here i think. Very real. I don't think this one will last too long on you-tube do to its graphic content.
search (GRAPHIC CONTENT HIT AND RUN by drunk driver) if you want to see it. Makes me thankfull i never hurt anybody yet ashamed that i could have. I wonder how many dui's are actually alcoholics, probably doesn't matter.

Though I'm not a huge proponent of trying to control the masses with laws I find it ludicrous that pot and other drugs are illegal but alcohol isn't.

I think it's proven itself over the years to be a huge problem even without the deaths that occur.

I get angry because I think it's all about money.

I hit a semi or tracktor trailer, then a tree.I broke three ribs, and was pretty banged up.The thing is the mountain that I wrecked on is where all the bicycle riders from Chattanooga come to ride.I thank God every day that I didn't hit a whole group of them that day.Just because I was drunk and wanted to go swimming.
