I'm on Campral, and will be for five or six more months. It's not having any noticeable effect, but I'm not going to stop early and find out. Better safe than sorry.

What do you mean by "past the need for it?"

From my understanding it helps with restoring your sleep , anxiety levels and adjusting your body back to normal. He mentioned it helps with cravings but there (campral) web site does not so thats why i was curious .

Hi John,

I was prescribed Campral after I finished a 28-day rehab, about 2-yrs ago. I had no side effects at all, I was on it for about 6 months. I can't really tell you if it worked (as opposed to taking nothing) but I did not have a slip while on it. If you read the literature, it will tell you it works in conjunction with a solid recovery program (like AA). I told my doctor after 6 months on it, that I was ready to take off the training wheels...So I stopped taking it....and nothing happened, I felt the same as I did while on it. So I'm not really sure it helped me....But.....IT DIDN"T HURT my recovery....Maybe it gave me a nice head start to stay ahead of the demon....I"m still one step ahead today...........Hope this helps you out..........

Work Hard and Enjoy Life.........Ned
