Hi all, forgive me this q isn't all that important- but it i something that has been bothering me a little. I just want to know when i should say my sobreity date is. You see i got sober on Sund, but i had been drinking up to 6 sunday morning. I then went to bed and got up at 1pm sober- deicded to go bk to A.A. I've asked some ppl and they say sunday is my 'day1' which i do agree with, but at the same time i was drinking till 6 in the mornon sunday so is it really?> Sorry i hate to trouble ppl with silly things like this, but i need to get it straight in my head or it'll just bother me! IS sund my day 1 or would it of been mond? Thanks all.
uni we are talking about one day, in the grand scheme of things we only need to stay sober today.
Some folks set it as the date of thier last drink, others as the date of thier first 24 hours sober.
Think about it, as Rusty said, "To thine own self be true." You decide, do you feel you are being honest saying that Sunday is your sobriety date? If so stick with it, 10 years from now it will still be just one day at a time.
If you are honest with your self and those around you, you will feel good about yourself.
Stick with the honesty deal, honest people look in the mirror and like the person they see, life is far easier being honest about all things.
You do not have to keep track of lies and you do not need to twist words around trying to make people think you are something you are not.
