Remember that life is a journey, not a destination
Remember that life is a journey, not a destination. You are in the driver's seat. Where would you like to go next? What do you hope to accomplish in your life? Is what you're doing now helping you to achieve your goals? What would b your ideal day? Your ideal week? Your ideal year? What do your answers tell you about yourself?
Imagine that you have only a short ime to live. In Live Your Dream, Joyce Chapman suggests this exercise: Think back over the past month. How would you spend your time differently? How would your priorites change? What would become more (or less) important to you?
Live the journey, enjoy the journey, stop and appreciate the joys and beauty along the way, lend a hand to your fellow travelers, follow your dreams, love your neighbors, live in peace, compassion, and understanding. Don't look back at the end of your journey and wonder why so much time was wasted on resentment, anger, selfishness, and worry.
May your journey be long and beautiful!:ghug2

Thanks for those beautiful words, Nandm. If only we could know these things early in life. It took me a long time to understand the things you speak of. One of my fav songs is by Diana Ross (yea, remember her?) "Do you know where your going to" and from the same album "My Turn".
Sobriety and recovery are an adventure in self discovery.
We get to know and actually learn to love ourselves.
Life is full of endless opportunities when we are sober.
The small things in life bring me a lot of pleasure.
This universe is wonderous place, and it belongs to each and every one of us.
I meet life head on now, I no longer procrastinate.
I am open to all new experiences and to the thoughts and ideas of others.
Thanks Nandm for this excellent post.
