Another alcoholic death....this time a celebrity

Christopher Bowman, US Olympic ice skating champion. Age 40. Dies in a motel in LAX.

Pretty damn sad article. This disease is REAL!

I think it said he died of a drug overdose.

same disease, different strain. Terribly sad....I saw a pic online of him, and he had gained a massive amount of weight and looked terrible. He was a talent. Its a real vivid example of how the disease of addiction destroys....from the inside out.

Yes it's sad when anyone loses
their life to any addiction.

However..according to the linked source
"a possible drug overdose"
has not been confirmed.

It's all conjecture at this point
not facts.

On the same note. Here in my area of the world we recently had a retired firefighter who went into a blackout while drinking and woke up next to his 91 year old mother that he strangled in the blackout. Two lives wasted from this disease. One physically dead and the other probably wishing he were dead.

The disease doesn't care if we're rich , poor, popular, aloof ... indiscriminate.

How sad.
