The Golden Series/ can anyone help?

My husband would like the Golden Series on CD, as he isn't the best reader. Does anyone know where I can get it, I found it one place but the cost is $125. and way out of my budget. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

It is a set of books by Father John Doe. There is The Golden Book of Action, Sanctity, Principles, Sanity, Passion, Sponsorship, Excuses, Decisions, Happiness, Resentments, Attitudes, Tolerance, Living and The Spiritual Side. They are 14 small books, each one discussing the topics listed above. They come on CD also.

I was able to find some of them on Amazon.com but not in cd form. Have you tried ebay?

Hmmm, couldn't find any on Amazon. Any chance it could be downloaded from itunes or another site? Some of them seem to have expensive recovery libraries.

I know that you can go to your local library and request certain books and tapes. At one time I was sponsoring a man that could not read or write and I was able to request the Big Book on tape at my local library. They ordered it but it took a few weeks. Get the tapes from the library burn a copy and use light scribe to make them fancy, just a thought.

I have a old set of Father John Doe`s Golden Tapes on cassette.
These are 37 talks given by him covering the late 50`s and early 60`s before he passed away.
If I had a way to copy them I would and send you a set.Let me check and see what I can find out. They may be the same...who knows?

You might try contacting your AA area inter-group office. The one in my area sells quite a few AA related CD's. It might be worth a try.

Thanks everyone, called the library, they are checking, checked ebay, cd's there, but will keep watching. You all had some great ideas!! Thanks.....more are always welcome.

Thanks Carol for removing the bad post. I must have missed it, but for the world can't imagine how this post could possibly bring a snide or bickering remark?????
