What concerns me about AVRP is the fact that they do not seem to be able to stand on the merits of their program rather they stand on the back of A.A. to make themselves appear better. Any program that can not stand up and promote itself without running another program down worries me because I wonder what the merits of the program are because they definately are not about respect for others and self.

Just my thoughts on that particular recovery program. There are other non A.A. programs that do stand on their own merits. I would be more inclined to trust that they have something positive to offer.

Whatever program of recovery a person chooses I wish them the best as the road of life only gets harder the longer we continue lying in the gutter of our alcoholism. At least that was my experience.
