Question Question?

I was wondering if it is possible to find if there is anyone from my location/state here on SR. I dunno why, but it seems like it would be an extra comfort to me to know that someone is not very far away to talk to or chat with online. I dont know if there are any rules about that or if it would be inapropriate, or how I would even do that.

If it is an ok thing to ask on here..would I just post "Any one from ______?" or what?

Angie

Hey there Angie

The best way to find local people willing to talk or chat is to call the local office of AA. They are in your phone book, and they're very chatty people.

If you do want to meet people thru the internet, _please_ read this first

Desert,

This is not the A.A. forum.

Angie, what you ask sounds reasonable. You might try putting a title similar to this on your thread "Is anyone from MN here?". That would let people know that you are looking for someone in your area to connect with.

On another note all recovery programs are welcome that includes A.A. There is nothing wrong with someone adding to the discussion by suggesting what has worked for them. Please let us all respect each others chosen program of recovery and not get so concerned about a posting regarding a program we do not use. The whole point is to encourage, support, and help each other. Thanks. Judith

ooops!! my bad!! My deepest apologies. Too many forums and too much stuff going on. I'll be more careful to make sure I know where I am before I stick foot in mouth again.

Relax

I believe the topic of this thread is "Is anyone out there from MN". Let's try not to get sidetracked by rabbits and hares. Thanks
Judith
