My wife and I decided to take the month of October off from drinking. We did wonderfully. The loser (the one who drank) had to pay, in cash, $100. Neither of us drank. It was a wierd month. I got up for work and was in the office at 6am every morning. Production skyrocketed. I was happy. I went running, biking and fishing.

Here we are, Nov. 11th and Im drinking a beer at 11am in the morning. My excuse is football. As I take another swig, im thinking that October was a great idea - even though I hated not drinking.

I'm really glad to hear that you were able to stop drinking during Oct. and that you had such a good month....but I wonder what was the reason behind you and your wife wanting to do that in the first place?

That's how we do it! One month at a time. Oh, wait, did I say "Month"? I meant "Day". One day at a time, that's how we do it!
