Oh God oh god oh god

Please let me get thru this withdrawal.

This is agony.

Then god, please help me with my recovery.

Oh, god..I can't believe how bad I feel. Doing this to myself is pure insanity.

For all of you still sober, god never pick up again.

The shakes are alot less. Hopefully I'll be out of this, and on my way to recovery.

Oh, god ohh god oh god.

If you start to feel bad like hallucinating and stuff you need to call a doctor Greta. Withdrawing by yourself is dangerous.

I know how you feel hun, you dont have to feel like this again.

HTe last day I actually binged (like, passed out binging for 5 days) was Tue. 2 gallong bottles of bourbon and a few cases of beer. I lost count on the beer. I live to far from a real liquor store, so after finishing the boubon, I started on the beeer. That started Friday after work, and got progessivly worse as the 5 day inge went on.

Yesterday I had a very small sips to help with the shaking and sit still for a few minutes. ****, that doesn't sound good, does it.

God, let's hope today is the first day of woking on my recovery.

Some people take a long time , others are over it in days, some weeks... it's different for everyone.

except for that each of us stay sober one day at a time. one minute at a time.

I do hope you will go to an ER GG.

It's so dangerous to do de tox without medical supervision.

For now...until you see a doctor...

Drink as much water as possible to flush the toxins out.
No caffeine Aspirin for aches Hard candy for shakes.

Blessings

Oh hun I feel for you. I remember withdrawals very well. The things that got me through were these:

Stay busy - don't sit around and dwell on it. Read, watch movies, talk to friends and family, clean house if you have energy or garden.
Seek support - it's hard enough to do this there is no need to do it alone
Lots of fluids - if you're like I was you're probably dehydrated and can't keep stuff down. Small sips regularly.
Eat nourishing food - if the stomach is still messed up try soups. Ice cream is good for the shakes and for cravings, especially chocolate ice cream.
Rest - a lot of people can't sleep in early sobriety but if you can then go for it.
Vitamins - take a multivitamin and extra B's.

The biggest thing that got me through was this. I kept telling myself over and over again that if I could just live through this I didn't ever have to go through it again if I didn't choose to. Hearing people like you share their stories makes me not choose to today. Thank you!

Big hugs,
Kellye C.

Greta if you are alone I pray you will call someone, anyone to be with you!

If your blood pressure gets to high you could have a stroke or heart attack.

If the DT's kick in there is nothing you can do to help your self, you either die or you don't!

You are in my prayers hon, keep in mind that once this is over you never ever have to do this again, you are not alone.

Go to the hospital!!!

When I went through withdrawal it started with the shakes and soon progressed to hallucinations. I ended up spending 5 days in the hospital where they gave me meds and fluids. The dr told me I could have died.

Please go to the ER!

Greta,

Seek medical help now...

You most likely can't die from lack of sleep, withdrawal from drugs, ( pot, cocaine, crack, etc), but you can die from alcohol withdrawal...

Thinking of you..

I would like to clarify when I responded this morning I was NOT advocating that you do this alone. I wholly agree with the others who are begging you to seek help and are letting you know how dangerous this is. I didn't know when I did it that people do die from this. If I could delete my other reply I would. I was just relating what worked for me.

By all means, seek help. You do NOT have to do this alone and it is safer for you not to. Please stay in touch with us and let us support you but also have live help getting through this time.

Big hugs,
Kellye C.

I'm hoping that you have gone to an ER or to the dr Greta to get the help you need.

Please know that we are here waiting for you.

I do understand you taking small sips to get through the withdrawls - I did that too, but it just makes the withdrawls last longer.
