Don't know if you guys remember
when I first came here, I posted about my friend who is chronically ill. She had called when I was drunk and I couldn't even speak with her. I hadn't spoken to her in in over six months. I've missed her, but was ashamed.
Well, HP has thrown me a little gift. Seems that our daughters are in the same classes in school! (that's how we met, our girls were best friends at age 4). I picked up the phone and had a long talk with her. I've told her everything that's been going on. She had no idea. (other than that phone call). She is happy and excited for me.
I have my friend back.
I'm very very grateful for that..

Karen, I can imagine how heavy that burden was for you to be carrying around for all this time. What a wonderful reward to getting sober - Being able to reconnect to a friend in need. Now you can be there for her in a way you couldn't before.
