My Podium

Hi Everyone,

I made a new podium for my home group. It came out really nice. Here's a pic.

It is really good to be able to actually finish things today!

Well, that is quite something! I couldn't visualize it when you were telling me about it on the phone. Neato and congrats.

Cheers from M, the Snowgoose.

Yes it was a tree,

My neighbor took down a large pine a while back and gave me the wood for firewood.

I was able to slice a piece off the base of the tree, hollow it out and make a podium out of it.

The top is a single pine board (over 20 inches wide) I was able to get from a local saw mill.

Everything is finished and held together with marine grade epoxy.

Ted

No doubt, that is sweet! And I bet you can rest your elbows on it without having to worry about it collapsing.

Looks great Groucho. When I went to our local AA group we just sat round a table and talked where we sat. No podium and certainly no microphones! Definitely not for the faint hearted. Nice picture to have on the wall too.
