Higher Power at work ?
Thought I would share this with everyone.
A while back, when I was abstaining from alcohol, I ended up on a golf course with clients who normally like to "booze it up". Naturally, they're used to me joining them.
That day I bought beer for everyone, including myself. Bad choice. I opened a can of Stella and placed it in the holder of the golf cart before having a sip... I looked back and noticed a large orange butterfly just sitting on my can.. Thought it was weird 'cuz there weren't any other butterflies around... Regardless, I drank the beer and the afternoon/night was a binge. This was back in June.
I've been sober since August 1st, and went out for dinner after work last night... It's was at my favorite restaurant and normally I would drink 1 bottle of wine, followed by beers & martinis on the patio. NOT last night, it was VERY hard, but I stuck to water and the night was fine.
So, I am walking back to my car, and get this --- an orange butterfly flies up to me and sits on my suit jacket while I am walking with my girl !!! Crazy. It looked identical to the one from the golf course, which is about 1 hour away from where we had dinner (which was downtown Toronto, aka concrete jungle).
The way I see it, the first one was telling me : hey ! wtf are you doing thinking you can drink !!! Second one reminded me that I made the right choice and things will get better.

Funny how those little God-shots can be reminders of where we came from and never want to be again.
There's a guy from my group who talks about dimes when he tells his story. Every time life throws him a curveball, dimes start showing up everywhere, one time two of them fell by his feet when no one else was around. Amazing.

Onc upon a time - we were camping out in someone's pasture near Miami ... and along the fence - there were maybe a hundred Monarch crysalis's (-sp) ... all 'came out' that very morning. We spent the entire day watching monarch butterflies climb out, dry off .. and fly away.
