thanks for the prayers....all of you!

Hi all,and god bless you all for your thoughts and prayers....and you are all right, when you say i need to be 100% there for mom now....i need to think clearly, and find the strenght to do and be what mom needs right now...I know she doesn't want doctors or hospitals or a nursing home, and i understand and respect her decision for now....if there comes a point where she can't function at all,i'll have to make that decision to.for now,i am going to stick close to home....took today off, maybe i can work 1/2 days for a bit....last night,i put her in bed, kissed her on the cheek, and told her i loved her....I didn't know what the night would bring...i just don't want her to suffer or be in pain....she deserves better than that.i went to bed last night, and prayed to God that when her time comes, for god to take her peacefully and quickly.....gotta run....an thanks for all your prayers....for mom and for my strength to get us both through this....Love,KT

That is what your mom needs now more then anything else...... in the long run that will be excellent healing for you once she passes.

i went through a similar situation with my father. i had a friend tell me that "the patient dictates the care". and that proved true. you'll know what to do when the time comes for more care. it sounds like you are supportive and loving to your mom, she's lucky to have such a kind and committed advocate. blessings, k

I worked for 6 years for an agency in
home care for elders.

The skills I learned there were a blessing
when I stayed with my dying Mother.

I suggest you check out what is available
in your area for Hospice and home care
agencies.
The agencies can be a supplement to your
personal care ...should 24/7 be needed.

One person can not do 24/7 regardless
of skill or desire.

Prayers continue
