My partner is away for the weekend with our two oldest boys..touring old forts etc, not something I'm very keen on so I stayed home.

Took my daughter out to a movie last night, Evan Almighty, really funny and a good family film, dinner..my exH went to. It was a fun evening.

I was thinking yesterday that when I was alone I would take the opportunity to get really really drunk. And this morning, I have the whole day ahead of me, which I used to take advantage of and drink drink drink. It's crossed my mind that since A's not here..I could possibly go out and get wasted. Am I going to? NO. It crossed my mind, but I don't even have to fight with myself on this one..I'm not going to. It's just not an option anymore.

I think that's pretty damn cool. These little flashes of how I used to be, and how I'm not like that any longer..well, it never fails to surprise me.
