reaping the benefits of sobriety

Last night I took a karate class with all three of my children. I haven't done that in over a month it was great. I forgot how much my kids enjoy me being a part of their activities. They were so excited when they found out I was doing the class with them. It is amazing how many important things we miss out on because of alcoholism. Starting day eight with a natural high and a joy in my heart. Just wanted to share.

Stick with it, tkdan, it'll only get better. I have joint custody of my kids, only see them about half the week, but when we're together we share the wonders of enjoying life with each other. For me, it doesn't get any better than this.
