I had decent insurance and the doctor convinced me that for me medical detox would be a VERY good idea for me. That could have had something to do with me actually telling him the truth about my drinking rather then trying to blow smoke up his butt! The meds did a good job, I didn't see the first sign of the shakes until my 3rd day in detox.
