Congrats on your 7 months Taz! Let's see, that's about 210 days, one day at a time, every night going to bed without taking a drink. Very impressive my friend. Thanks for your inspiring posts!

Hi Tazman:
First off, I want to give you a HUGE 'atta boy' on your 7 months sober -- that is a MAJOR accomplishment, one that should make you extremely proud.
As weird as this may sound, I have taken a special interest in you and your posts. I hope you don't mind. They have been a tremendous help to me. You see, my a-bf shared the same sobriety date as you. Given we were only dating a few months before him going into rehab in Sept, it was best that our relationship (or in other words -- me) kept a low profile in order for him to make his sobriety a #1 priority. I only spoke to him once or twice a month to see how he was doing. It was tough not having a more significant role in his recovery, but like I said I believed it was for the best. In the meantime, I relied on SR not only for support, but for answers on what he might be experiencing in his recovery as well as the process, AA, etc. That's where you came in ;-) I realize individuality and not everyone experiences the same things, but you get the jist.
Unfortunately, my guy relapsed in January for a couple of weeks -- he somehow forgot to 'follow directions', I suppose. But at any rate, he picked himself up and got back on track. Even though, he now has a new sobriety date, 9/18/06 will always be a significant date as it was the day that the ball started moving forward.
All of my very very best for your continued success!! ;-) Jo
