Yesterday I am walking through one of those big discount wholesale food places thinking to myself (what other way is there I guess) and I was wondering if this redness in my cheeks would ever go away. (some 5 months into this sobriety) I noticed a thirty something man with his cute daughter with a similar coloration and thought "hey maybe this was not because of the alcohol". Anyway I walked by his basket and noticed a half dozen or so bottles of various spririts in the bottom....oh well . Funny how our minds work. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter. Rejoice!!! He has risen indeed! I will see you all on Monday. You are all a blessing to me and I keep you in my prayers.

Yep, my mind still works that way, lol, guess mine is an 'alkie mind' lmao.
As to the redness, I believe the longer you are sober, the more it will abate, however, I do believe it would be wise to check with your Doctor. The redness in your cheeks could be a sign of other problems including high blood pressure. Please see your doctor.
Congrats on your 5 months, that is great!!!
Love and hugs,
Congrats on five months!
I dunno 'bout the cheek thing - but I've got physical things still going on that the docs and AA buds say will, will WILL go away in time ...
I'll take this over my best day addicted ...

Welcome to the forum, Russelrb,
Just to play it safe, I suggest that you get your blood pressure checked out. I havn't had a drink in over a year, and the redness of my face has decreased quite a bit.

Congrats on the 5 months Russ, I was pretty lucky on the physical side of things when I was out there, all I had was a BLOATED face, eyes so blood shot they looked like if I cried it would be blood instead of tears and what I thought was a beer gut that turns out to have been about 25% swollen liver & 25% bloating.
Oh BTW I would check with a doctor and see what he says about the redness.
