Checkin' in for Sunday.

Glad to see everyone so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this morning.

I'll admit to the group that I came within a hair's length of either going out to drink or grabbing some beer. The temptation wouldn't stop - from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed (eventually had to shut the phones off) I had messages from buddy's to drunk dials from girls I had dated - all of them wanting me to go out. I had my disease calling my phone off the hook (it was my first sober St. Patrick's day since I started drinking years ago) telling me I've been so good lately, I'm Irish, I haven't gone out in awhile, this will be a good prep. for Vegas, basically every excuse you can think off I had thought of it.

But in the end, I guess it doesn't matter how far or how close you CAME to drinking, it just matters that you didn't - so I focus on that. Hopped online and the ***** top article is getting over hangovers - that gave me a laugh.

So Hope4,
I know what you were going through last night, trust me on that!

T,
Sounds like you've got it under control this week (no different than the weekend right?)

Everyone else sounds like they are doing great. Have a great morning all.

Blessings,
PR

Hi,
I'm doing very well. I will celebrate 9 months sober on March 25th...yeah!

I am still a SNOOP, because my hubby keeps hiding booze in car, garage, where ever he thinks I won't look.

We've been married 20 years and he tells me I don't have the right to look in his car, etc. Not that he's trying not to temp me...just mad that I caught him.

I have talked it over with my sponsor and as long as it doesn't interfere with my sobriety, I guess I have to decide if I can live with it.

So far, I have. I guess I thought he had quit until I smelled it when I went into our bedroom one morning. (I work nights 11 to 7) Our room smelt like a old barroom.)

Anyway, I'm fine...keeping reading "learning to let go"!!

I'm so grateful that I'm sober and my three teenagers support my efforts.

Have a great week.

Hi Tally, I am quite chipper today. I am going to watch some Family Guy dvd's and eat some chocolate now. This whole addiction thing can be a nightmare but I LOVE being sober!

Wink Letting go of resentments!

Hey,
I'm proud of myself because I could have drank what I found, but I didn't.

It really is one day, moment at a time. I keep remembering that I am NO good to anyone unless I'm good to myself.

It's OK to be selfish...take care of me!

Good luck to all,
COizzy

Clearly I need a new hobby that does not involve eating Crispers.. my pants are getting too freaking tight!

Back away from the Crispers ma'am, put them down and step back!

Thumbs up The garage

Hubby asked me to make a couple of cesears for the boys. I DO make the best ones ever so I made them and took them to the 'garage'.

I went in, I passed them around and one guy says

Garage guy: Aren't you having one?
Talluleh: nope, not today
Garage guy: Come back when you're drinking again
Talluleh: ok
Garage guy: You're no fun if you aren't drinking
Talluleh: You aren't any fun if I'M not drinking neither

Good job!!

I ODed on Diet Dr. Pepper- LOL, I think I was really wired from caffeine last night so I couldn't sleep... I finally got to sleep sometime around 5 something and woke up at 11. I feel exhausted today but not hungover. YAY!!

Hope, I think we should take shares out in Diet Coke and Diet Dr. Pepper, we'll be rich!! I also like Diet Barq's rootbeer.

Good for you on making it through another weekend!

I liked it better when you called em "garage dwellers" Ta. "Garage swillers" would be even better yet.

I'll take shares on Martinellis'.

Let's face it Taz, my wit my be better now but they were so hammered it's easy to zing them..

They are all sporting some rather painful hangovers today. I, on the other hand, AM NOT! YAY! I could really get used to this 'no hangover' thing.
