Glad (thankful) to see everyone O.K. I was feeling like a
Jewish mommy watching over you kids all night. My BF
and I talked about it and checked in until We finally went
to sleep at 3:00. In our area, it is a mostly Hispanic
population, no special partying. He's Asian, I'm Black Irish
and both just plain old Alkie. So........

hi -
I found out the arrest last night - a pedestrian hit and run. Right in front of the hotel. There's chaos uptown tonight - it's 'kids' night tonight - last night was the adults - St Uro's ... but tonight - it's all college age and younger... throwup everywhere ... porta potties turned over, (this from guests reporting as they come back in) some windows broken ... glad I'm down here on the flats .

The real 'deal' - will be when it's 3:00 ... and they come straggling in.
it's the LAST one I'll ever work. I'll go with my AA buds - OUTIE town next year!

I'm 'composing' the notice to the GM about not working 'trigger' days.
She's pretty kewl, as I said - we'll see what happens.
I think there's nothing wrong with my (or anyone in recovery, in fact) stating there's a problem working those days. They (the company) doesn't seem to have any problem wanting me to do more tasks - for the same money, after all.

I just went to a live cam at a bar/restaraunt uptown ... it's definately 'amateur night' up there now. the place is packed. I worked about four blocks form the place. Stagger - distance. Downhill, no less.
I don't miss it.

I miss the $$$, tho.

Its .. over ...that's enough for me! And the funniest thing about the alka seltzer, was the number of people who came in drunk thinking they were condoms!
I mean, we're an accommodating hotel ... but .. geez!

It went OK! Actually, I just took a nice, long bath and read in the book I got at an Adult Children/Al-Anon meeting for a long time. Went to bed early, got up early. Glad it is over though! Funny I didn't have this trouble last year, must have been on that 'pink cloud' still....
