I resisted AA soooooooo long..but finally I "broke" and what I have found there is amazing. I have found love and support from the formerly lonely ole sad, suicidal sots just like me. AA will give you a sense of community and belonging...which EVERYBODY needs (in my opinion anyway). Where else can you go to find people who understand just where you are? Who have felt exactly as you do...despair. I truly believe that drunks need other drunks to stay sober..which was the wonderful revelation of the program's founders. We all need to know we are not alone.

Go and listen ....that's all you need to do right now.

Miss,
If you are scared to death to go to a meeting, try this first www.recoverychat.com - no need to register or anything, just type in what you want and you can find live support. Nothing replaces face to face interaction but it could get you pointed in the right direction.

It was the medium that God used for me yesterday to finally reach me. I had an AWESOME day today. Funny thing...my problems are the same today as they were yesterday (and I was in despair yesterday)...wonder what changed? God's sneaky like that, He'll getcha when you least expect it.

I hope you use that site as a stepping stone if you can't/won't get to a meeting.

Blessings,
PR

Its not a contest, so it doesn't matter who's sicker or who drinks more. And since there is only one YOU no one is more important than YOU. Everyone here is rooting for you.

Hi missminime . I've been reading your progress, and I do mean progress even if you don't see or feel it. I agree that a visit to the doctor is in order. As for what to tell him/her... you tell them a lot of what you've been telling us. Just be honest. They will do the medical stuff... you will do the healing stuff.

I also wanted to tell you that I'm sorry. I saw the picture you posted in stone's thread and I'm so sorry to tell you :you are smiling.

I appriciate all of your advice and i cant tell you how much it means to me when you share your experiences and thoughts with me. I do know im young and i do know everything seems a bit harder. But ill make it through, step by step, day by day.

Im so tired today its 05.45am here and im usually at work this hours so no idea why im so tired today. Ive slept since i came home from work aswell. Woke up now and i cant remember if i had dinner or not. Dont think so. Last time i ate or drank something was 02.00 am yesterday then and im not hungry. When will i start to eat again? Thouught it would come with me staying sober but i guess not :P Well you gotta eat to survive so i guess ill go get some 3min noodels and get back to sleep :P Thank you again. I love this place!

Hmmm..
Are you taking a multi vitamin each day?
That plus a B 12 complex is wise.
Good for healing and general health.

Glad to see you are continuing to move forward.

Hm never been in need of B-vitamin, you get that from beer huh?
Ok really bad joke, and i dont even drink beer. it took me three years to even be able to hold a beercan after i ended up in the hospital when i had... i bit too many beers when i was 15. the smell of it still makes me sick. Guess i learnd something.

But seriously.. no i dont take any vitamins, i think i should, i really dont eat food either atm. thought i would start eat again when i was sober.

Take good care of yourself sweetie. Eat something (even if you don't feel like it) and take some vitamins.

Big kiss,

Philip

Mt appetite is weird lately, I stuff my face one day and then don't eat the next. I have noticed that sometimes if I don't eat I feel bad mentally and when I have something to eat I feel better. Probably low blood sugar.
Try and eat Minnie, make that cake and eat all of it!

If you have a copy of "Under The Influence"
there is ab excellent section on food.

Many alcoholics follow an eating plan for
hypoglycemia with good results.

I too got very sick from beer as a teen
So... I was not a beer drinker either
my B would have been for Brandy!

Forward we go...side by side

I'm fine honey,... thanks for asking. I'm having a good day (morning) at the moment. Nice to have someone in the same timezone, isn't it?

If all you people want to know what time it is over here right now,... well it's 11.36 a.m. over here.
