Unhappy helpless and afraid

I feel so lost and afriad. Like I'm stuck in a world where nobody wants me. Fadeing into the back ground, slowly disapearing gone, within a blink. Would anybody care or even shed a tear. Lost forgotten tears, trapped behind a wall of pain, never again to slowly creep. Never again will I know a happiness or enjoy the feel of love, for all I am is just plain numb, broken down, and smashed to peices. Alone in the world and left to die.

I have nobody to catch me when I fall or help me to stand again. For even God has turn his back on me. I fell hard and he never caught me, leaving me helpless and afraid

Hi Beetle

You have a tremendous gift for writing and poetry. It would be a shame for the world to loose such a gift.

I for one would miss you, of not having the opportunity to read such moving and powerful words again.

Blessings

God will never turn His back on you. You just aren't willing to work with Him in the ways that He works. Keep trying. There are plenty of people who would miss you, like me.

Thankyou for replying to my post.....
My poetry is not that good and I tend to write a load of jumble lol
But hey thanks for being so nice anyhow .

An Eagle Would Never Soar,
If He Didn't Believe He Could Fly.
You'll Never Know What You Can Do,
If You Never Try.
Sail Any Sea, Sing Any Song,
Make Any Dream Come True.
I Know You Can Do Anything-
I Believe in You........

Believe in Yourself!

There may be days when you get up in the morning
and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be...

That's when you have to tell yourself that you can make things get better!

There are times when people might disappoint you and let you down...

Those are the times when you need to remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, and keep your life focused on believing in yourself!

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.

Keep yourself headed in the right direction for YOU!

It may not be easy at times...
but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are!

So when days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities,
Remember to believe in yourself and all that you want your life to be

Keep Believing in Yourself!

Welcome Beetle! Your poetry is quite good. Words like that speak to all of us in this community. I know I have been places where I thought I was beyond redemption, where God rejected me.

It's not true. God never turns his back on any of us. He loves us all, no matter how far down the scales we've fallen.

I look forward to reading more of your poetry. You have an audience now, mustn't disappoint .

Good luck and God bless.

A wish

A wish

~Star light, star bright,
first star I see tonight

~A wish I make this very night,
a wish that all my friends sleep tight

~A wish that all good dreams come true
May God bless everything they do

~A wish that every day they'll wake
to find a helping hand to take

~Someone to trust, someone to hold,
someone to truly call their "own"

~For days they cry, for days they pout
A wish for peace without a doubt

~For days our happiness will thrive
A prayer to God I am alive

~A wish of joy, and peace, and love,
for these are all gifts from above

~For everything we do together
I pray that it will last forever

For God's sake, woman! (I assume), do something that takes the focus off your problems. Read the following books in this order. They will open your eyes and help you realize that you are a very powerful spiritual being with the ability to be happy and that your life is as valuable as any.

Your Erroneous Zones, By Wayne Dyer
Conversations with God - Book 1, by Neale Donald Walsche
Rational Recovery - The New Cure for Substance Addiction, by Jack Trimpey

Thumbs down

Clearscreen - who the hell do you think you are? Your post was meanspirited and totally unnecessary. If that's what you have to offer, keep it to yourself.

I retract the "For God's sake woman!" part. I really didn't mean it in a mean-spirited way, just as a sort of "pull yourself together and do something besides wallowing in self-pity". I don't know any details about her life other than what she wrote, but if things are that bad, she needs something more than this forum. If I was offensive to some, I apologize. I do think the books I suggested may help though, and I stand by my recommendations. They all influenced me in positive ways at different times in my life.

clearscreen...

I was always turned off by people telling me what i should or should not do (still am!). What helps is when others share their story. How did they drink/use? What happened? What works for them?

Most of us don't want advice, we need to hear experience...

What makes you assume Beetle is a woman? There's nothing in the profile or the posts that states that fact. Is your assumption that women are the only ones who "wallow in self pity"?

My story is that I drank large quantities of alcohol almost every day for over 20 years like an idiot. I finally read something that made so much sense to me that I immediately quit drinking and now life is much better and I would not even think of returning to the miserable existence I lived before. That is what worked for me. I sincerely hope this helps someone.

How can you try to help someone without recommending something for them to do?

What was wrong with me saying those books will "help you realize that you are a very powerful spiritual being with the ability to be happy and that your life is as valuable as any"?

Beetle - Are you male or female?

If anyone wants me to vanish from this board, just say so and I will.

clearscreen...I just don't think you realize how you're appearing. It's actually kind of funny to watch. You're replying to every post that you feel has someone you can "save" from the clutches of 12-step.

You are doing the very same thing that gets RR's bent out of shape about AA. You're preaching. You're proselytizing. You're on a mission.

People come here to talk about themselves and then get feedback in the way of someone elses experience. They don't just show up and start posting links to books and other websites. Do you see the difference?

Nobody wants you to vanish. But it would be nice if you stopped promoting and started sharing...
