Phew, odd, I have more anxiety/irritability than the first 48 hours of giving up booze... I wonder if that's natural, my brain is so fuzzy, I make typos and so many things... I can't believe this crap... urgh...
Paulos I have been sober for 142 days now and still have days when the old brain is not working right, but every day is better. I have been told that it can take over a year to really have the brain back to working 100%.
Just ask your self this, is your brain working better now then it does when you are drunk?
Being anxious and irratable is normal, for me it did not last very long at all, it still on occasion happens, but not very extreme at all any more. Every one is different and things get better at different rates, there is no cast in stone time table.

I'm closing in on 2 months Paulos and I'm still incredibly spacey. I'm also incredibly clutzy. I read on a posted link here that the term "dry drunk" actually originated with actions in sobriety that mimic those when drunk.
Despite my perpetual emoting, spaciness and constant stubbing of toes and banging of head...this journey is awesome!

That drinking has been hiding? Uh... I don't believe I have any physical injuries or faults, I've had an EKG/Chest xray/MRI/Bloodwork in the past 14 months when I rushed myself to the ER and everything was normal so... o_O
