Smile Looking for More Support...

Hi. My name is Jen, and I have almost eight months sobriety now. I have been "blogging" about my recovery since the beginning, and I started writing about it in order to put more material out there for those who are struggling to quit or are working through recovery. There wasn't much "personal account" information when I was searching for answers.

You can check my profile as I believe it is there. (Click on my username to the left and click on go to my homepage)

I can always use support!!! There are way too many normies who read me, and just don't get it

Jen

Congratulations on you 8 months!! Your's right, it seems nobody understands an alcoholic, like another alcoholic. I found it good to get my thoughts out also. It's great to get a response to them. Sometimes my thinking can be off!!

Hey Jen, my name is Martin and I am an alcoholic, congrats on your 8 months, I love this board, it keeps me in touch with my program during my work day. I did a quick check on your site, cute kids, I am sure you are loving your sobriety, I have 6 kids and 5 grandkids myself and I am loving sobriety. I am giving to my grandkids what I failed to provide for my 6 kids and am also giving my 2 daughters still at home what they need as teenagers... a father who is sober!

Congrats again jen, you have done well and I am sure your kids have acknowledged it.

I appreciate the support. To those out there who have questions about AA or think it doesn't work (I had ALL of those in the past), you know what, it really does work! You really can be happy someday!
