1 Year Sober Today!!!!!

Hey everyone! I just got my internet hoooked up again after almost a year of being without it, so I thought I would take the opportunity to post my 1 year anniversary in AA today. Clean and sober since December 24, 2005. I went to an AA meeting and got my 1 year chip. It feels good. My sponsor met me at the meeting to give me a hug- it was awesome. Then, on my way out after the meeting, some jerk was rude to me and it hurt. I feel kind of ****** about it, but I am still happy about my year. Thanks and God Bless You.

thanks! i am involved in AA, go to meetings, have a great sponsor, work the steps, and pray alot. is this site non-AA related? i'm confused

. I think this site is a little bit of everything that involves recovery. Maybe someone else can explain it better.

This forum is 12 step (AA) oriented. The alcoholism forum is more generalised, but there is a LOT of cross pollination and we welcome everybody!!

ooops. my turn being confused.

I thought I was in the 12 step forum. THIS one ("Alcoholism" Forum) is open to all forms, programs, no programs, experiences, questions, anything related to the topic of Alcoholism.

The other Forum, 12 Step Recovery in Alcoholism, is more AA oriented.

Freckled, bigtime congratulations on your one year sober. That is an awesome accomplishment!

Freckled that is fantastic, I am in AA also, if it were not for AA I could not say that today is my 99th day in a row sober after 40 years of drinking.

Freckled congrats, keep working the program, it works if you work it!
