Alcoholic quiz!
you know -
I'd have gotten a higher score if I hadn't done most of my drinking at work. (bartender)
OF COURSE I was never late - I HAD to get there for that pre-shift shot batch.
LOL

Well , answering based on what I "used to be like" I scored 85% which of course is no big surprize. It may even be higher because although I was never actually hospitalized or never had to spend time in jail I did end up in the ER once and another time i had to wait out a drunk on the bench at the police station. So I answered that one negative. I dunno.
During, oh the last five years of my drinking I took this test so many times..just to check ha ha. I first took it when I read Carolyn Knapp's book (Drinking: A Love Story). I rationalized it away however...until I was ready.
I don’t know what my score is because I didn’t enter my email. But I honestly answered YES to every question.
If this is the original "20 Questions" that was around in AA in the eighties, I answered them differently then. I think I answered seven YES. However, I can see more clearly now, and I tend to be more honest with myself these days.
So, does this mean that I am an alcoholic?

I did the test, have had a lot of denial - only been sober 2 days, after all i've done drunk and the days spent drinking i cannot accept fully that i'm and alcoholic. I did the test and got 75%. I've done other simialr questionaires etc in the past and always get an extremely high percentage. Well, this is it i guess. I know i'm and alcoholic.
mandi I had no problem admitting I was an alcoholic 10 years before I finally quit drinking, I quit drinking once I surrendered to the fact that if I have one single drink I am powerless over alcohol!
Mandi have you reached the point where you can say you are powerless over alcohol once you have that first drink?
