I started drinking as a teen because I thought
it was sophisticated.
I started smoking for the same reason.

I imagine Google has tons of information.

I was bored and unhappy, drinking and smoking dope was fun.

I wasn't unhappy, but I was bored and dissatisfied the reality of life, so I escaped it every chance I got. That carried on into my adulthood, and has kept me from maturing in many ways. I've always been vaguely dissatisfied and impatient. Over the past few years, I've come to better accept myself and my life and have learned to live with things as they are.

I always thought teens do drugs, smoke and drink just because THEY CAN!

I wanted to be part of the excitement... and it worked. For a short time. But it worked long enough that I did not want to ever NOT belong again.... vicious cirlce... and that was only the first of those.

why do I drink when I do? honestly? cause it's fun, when I was drinking with kodie and mike and matt this summer I was doing it cause it was fun I can honestly say I ENJOYED every second of it

Why do people know the bad effect of alcohol and still drink alcohol?
other than fun isn't there other better reason?

I started drinking and smoking weed in High School. I guess you could say that I got in with the "wrong crowd", the party people...

Instead of applying myself, studying, and thinking about my future like I should have, I partied. I never thought about or cared about the future, I just worried about where my next buzz was coming from...

I was in my late 40's before I realized what the true quality of life was all about, by that time my youth was long gone...

You can't go back!!! Young people, apply yourself now, you will be very happy when your my age that you did. I wish I had !!!

I started drinking as a teen becuase all of the adults around me drank and I wanted to see what it was all about.

The first time I drank I got drunk I got sick and passed out, the second time I drank I got drunk got sick and passsed out you would think at that point I would have just said the H*** with this, but noooo... by the third time I had figured out how to get drunk with out getting sick and passing out... WOW what an accomplishment.

So or me it was I started drinking to check it out and I kept drinking because I lilked the buzz.

I teach high school, I ask some of the kids when is it due, we start break today

I drank because it let me get out of my shy shell and be bold. I drank because it made me more outgoing...and people paid attention to me...and I was fun...I became the life of the party...and I liked the attention.
