First day over of new try - Cold Turkey
I have lapsed many times in my short recovery now,but yesterday following my latest one I went cold turkey....IT WAS AGONY.
I know I shouldnt have but I had to do it and here I sit today, cold yet sweaty, aching yet pleased and over the worst and determined to use the support around me more.
****,it was bad,I ached, sweated (sweating can be violent!) and finally found some relief in very short and shallow sleep.
One day at a time so heres to day 2.

Be gentle on yourself. Only a suggestion but maybe you should let your doctor know what you are trying to do.
Make sure you stay hydrated, eat a little and rest.
And talk to people.
Wishing you loads of love and support.
Take care Big Matt.

Hi Matt,
I just wanted to tell you, while quitting for good still remains elucive to me, this site, and, what I like to call my "SR Family", have helped me dramatically reduce my intake, and my relapses have been shorter.
Glad to have you here, keep posting, and maybe we'll get it right some day soon!
