I hear you so loudly and clearly GIDC. I'm with you in the early days struggle and I'm trying to tell myself that I am stronger than that idiotic voice within me trying to sabotage my every move.
If it's anything like quitting smoking (which I DID do, thank God) then I keep telling myself the urge will go away, whether I smoke or don't smoke. I want to live a life that isn't consumed by an obsession with drinking. Think of how good you felt Saturday morning. Think of all of the horrible post-drinking mornings. Really try to visualize yourself at your worst drunken self. Remember how it felt trying to piece together what happened after your last black out?
You can do this - I know you can. We are bigger than this disease. We are SMARTER than this disease.

i felt damn good when i woke up today, the sun was shining.. it was 8:30 in the MORNING. i don't even feel good when i wake up that early on weekdays... probably because i have to go to work those days... but whatever.
