Hi there everyone!

I've been pretty scarce and just wanted to check in and say hi.

SR was such an integral part of the start of my recovery...almost 2 years ago...since then I've stopped, started, tried 'it' on my own, been into AA and out of AA cause I was too young, not ready, etc etc

What I can say now though is that thanks to the Grace of God I am nearing 6 months sober. My life is so blessed in so many ways and the promises of AA (check them out if you are struggling...they DO come true!) are more and more true for me everyday.

I am so grateful to be alive, I love my life, and I've never looked (loL! If I do say so myself!! ) or felt better!

I spent the last week travelling on business and I was able to stay sober, wake up gratefully every morning, go to bed gratefully every night. I truly am living a life beyond my wildest dreams.

The secret? Staying sober through the program of AA and the fellowship of AA and my higher power (whom I choose to call God) Love and Guidance.

I remember not so many months ago really wanting to die. Alcohol had me licked as they say.

there is a solution...for those still struggling don't give up. I never thought I could make it this far, and have a life like this.

Don't ever give up - and USE the tools available to you - they're free and they work!

Love to all my SR friends...you all have a special place in my heart.

Thanks to you all for your warm wishes - it's the generosity of spirit of people like you that really made me want to seek sobriety and recovery.

Yeah, I remember your struggle! So happy to here that you are still sober and trudging the happy road of your destiny. Congratulations on your 6 months.. you must be feeling really really good about yourself! Keep it up because it IS true what they all say: It Just Gets Better and Better!!!
