I heard from my Dad (who's been - he lives in Nuremburg) that it's made up of people getting extremely pi$$ed and being sick everywhere...not really a lot else. I think it could be very positive for you. You'll see about ten-thousand reasons NOT to drink I think. Don't worry about it..I have been to various music festivals and not drunk and it was nice to be one of a few who woke up sober! The other festivals I wnet to when I drank were awful, just awful...because I always went on a binge.

why?
Many years ago I went to a festival in Erlangen Germany called Bergkirkwie, similar to Munich's Octoberfest.
I think that going to one of the things and not drinking would be exceedingly dull and somewhat revolting.
