4th Step
Don't try to conserve paper. I now do one, sometimes two resentments, on a piece of paper then grab the next sheet for the ones to follow. That leaves me at least half of the front and all of the back of the paper for my 2nd, 3rd and 4th column. Paper is cheap, don't be afraid to use a lot of sheets. It sucks to try and squeeze the 3rd and 4th step into a tiny little section of the page.
Set a time to do it every day. For me, setting aside 30 min to an hour each AM and each PM works the best. If ideas are coming slowly, I may only do 20 or 30 min and that's ok. There's always the next session to make up for my lack of concentration this time. I know me though, if I don't have a set schedule, I tend to just keep "working on it" as some nebulous event down the road that never materializes.
Most importantly - ask questions as you go. I wasted a LOT of time trying to figure stuff out on my own because I didn't want to sound stupid by asking questions. Of COURSE you won't know it all - it's your first time through it. Ask away......
