AA Apps

Hey all, just wanted to see what recovery apps people are using and how helpful you think they are.

I have tried a few, but found I did not really use them except for one: My Spiritual Toolkit. I have found this app helpful in the following ways:

Staying on track with nightly 10th step - I tend to either forget at night or easily find an excuse to blow off the nightly 10th step if I'm writing on paper. I use my iPad for reading before bed, so it's been super easy to just open the app and do the nightly 10th before bedtime reading. The format of the nightly 10th follows the BB, and there is a place to go into more detail for each defect.

Spotcheck inventory - don't use this everyday like nightly inventory, but if I am out and need to "write it down" instead of "think it out" I use the app on my phone.

"On Awakening" as well as several prayers are available, which I find handy, especially if I'm traveling.

Link to the app: My Spiritual Toolkit

I also have the AA Companion app, but find I seldom use it. Still, I like having it because it has the entire book.

Hi Pagekeeper,

I also like My Spiritual Toolkit.

Here's some other ones that are pretty good:

1) AA 12 Step Toolkit (I used this before finding My Spiritual Toolkit)
2) AA Slogans
3) AA Big Book
4) AA Quotes
5) Audio Joy - not free unfortunately but looks good - http://audiojoy.com

I like Meeting Guide for finding meetings based on my location.

I have BB, 12x12 and other books on the Kindle app on my phone.

I have an app called, 12 Step Compainion .. it's good but I sure wish they would have a 1st class AA Big Book and the 12x12.. I have both but they're 4-5 years old..

I'd be interested if there's any new stuff out there.. for tablets and smart phones..

I also have the companion. I do like it, but find I don't use it that often. I tend to just go for the actual, physical book if I need to read or look something up.

A quick search of new apps gave me this link, but I have no idea about the usefulness of any of the apps.

I like this InspireMeFree app. It's not AA but it is spiritual. Gives you a quote, the authors thoughts, and a spiritual challenge for the day.

Hi JudicatorPanzer, I've looked at the App Store , but there's quite a few InspireMe apps, which seem to be just quotes, only. I'd like to find the one you recommended, with the additional authors thoughts and spiritual challenge. Could you tell me the developer so I can locate it, or a little more information to do so? Thank you.

I use the Daily Reflections app. I don't make a meeting every day and I allow myself up to 5 minutes daily to read it. I make sure it alerts because I can forget very easily.
