Perspective
 

A good day is when I wake up on time, feel physically fit, find little traffic going into the office, experience few problems once there, leave early to enjoy the beautiful weather outside, return home to a peaceful wife and children who are all getting along, and I go to bed sober.

A great day is when I wake up late, have a pesky head cold, people cut me off in ridiculously heavy traffic, I arrive at the office to a plethora of problems, each astonishingly difficult to solve, have to stay after hours to sort it all out, drive home in the pouring rain, walk through my front door to screaming kids and a frustrated wife, and I go to bed sober.

What a deal to be able to have a really rough day. Then turn around and say: "Wow, I'm sober! That's freaking incredible! I never would have been able to handle this prior to recovery! I am so grateful!"
