The Big Book's main object

"Lack of power, that was our dilemma. We had to find a power by which we could live, and it had to be a Power greater than ourselves. Obviously. But where and how were we to find this Power?
Well, that’s exactly what this book is about. Its main object is to enable you to find a Power greater than yourself which will solve your problem. "

I have a 5% drinking problem and a 95% thinking problem.
My H.P. helped remove the compulsion to drink in the first year.
My H.P. helps me daily with my "stinking thinking" that is an "ISM'... it's not a "WASM".

If you are like me, we need all the help we can get !!

Someone was asked one day if they believed in "miracles" ... his reply:

"Believe in them ??!! I RELY on them !!""

All the best.

I was about to drink myself to death.I quit many times only to find soberiety unbearable after a short time

Is he not a victim of the delusion that he can wrest satisfaction and happiness out of this world if he only manages well? (1st edition big book)

I failed at managing sobriety well and drinking was the primary relief I saw.
Until
the 12 steps relieved the delusion that I could keep myself sober and happy
