Topic: Do You Express Prayer In All That You Do?

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

Good morning SR.

By the Grace of my Higher Power whom I
chose to call God and people like you here
in SR I havent had a drink of alcohol since
8-11-90. For that Im truely grateful.

There is more to prayer than kneeling
at night and folding our hands. Thoughts
of love and creation are prayers. Prayers
can be seen in a kindly smile, a friendly
gesture or even in a negative movement
not made.

Burst of joy surging through our
bodies are prayers. Caring for and
comforting a child is a form of prayer
in ur HP's eye's. There are many times
when whatever the position of our bodies,
our soul is on it's kness.

DO YOU EXPRESS PRAYER IN ALL THAT YOU DO?

TODAY YOUR ACTION'S WILL EXPRESS
PRAYER IN THE FOLLOWING WAY:

Thanks for letting me share here.

I do not believe it is necessary to bend the knee five times or more a day in order for HPto hear us.He knows our innermost thoughts.

When God is in our hearts our whole life essentially becomes a prayer and a thanksgiving to God.

Sharon,
That is a most beautiful and joyous statement!
Thank you for sharing it! :e058:

It has become habit for me to talk with God all day long. I get on my knees at night time with my children. We begin with the Serenity Prayer...then we all inidivually say our prayers a loud...then we close with the Lord's Prayer. It's really become a beautiful thing. My kids always remind me that it's "prayer time". I'm trying to get dad involved too (gently of course!!!). I can really see how doing this is getting God on the minds of my kids much more. They both talk more about God. It's really neat to see the changes in their "prayers". The 4 year old is starting to learn how to pray unselfishly, which is unbelievable!!!!!! Really is beautiful to hear the prayers of young 'uns!!

I try to live my life according to the Prayer of St Francis. That's the kind of person some day I hope to be. If I ask God to help me be the best person I can be..I can't really go around and act unkindly or be uncaring to my fellow brother or sister, can I?!?!

I'm learning to treat all human-kind with kindness and love. Even those I have a hard time with...I try to remember that we all have the same Father.

Thanks for the reminder Sharon.
Jen

Those are very nice shares, Jen, Peter and Teach. Thank you. I had to come back here to re-read this as well for a gentle reminder today. So thank you. : )

Sharon,
Thanks for the post. Yes, I believe I am praying any time I am talking to HP. It can be when I am on my knees, saying the serenity prayer or asking for guidance, or it can be when I am walking in the woods and I see a beautiful sunset and say "thank you."
