I've been an ACA for over 20 years and I am finally taking a look deep inside myself. Wow, guess what I discovered everything that happens isn't my fault. I was always taking the blame for things gone wrong, its too hot/cold out I was saying "I'm sorry". Someone in the house would be angry I was first to try and make peace take the blame if neccessary just to keep the chaos away. What I didn't realize is that it was creating chaos inside of me. This new discovery feels pretty good. H came in upset, and guess what, I just let him be upset, and I didn't try and keep the peace. I'm not sure he knew how to deal with that. He is used to me taking the blame to keep the peace, and I didn't. Wow, that feels good. It's a start for me.
